We all know that when you’re drunk you should not drive. However, there are people who drive and oftentimes send messages through text while driving. This is more dangerous than driving when drunk because when you text you have to take off your hands from the wheel in using the phone, read the text and think of how to answer. These factors may impair the reaction time thus placing the driver at risk.

Babies cry at least an hour each day and new parents are at a loss on how to handle the case. Crying is the only language that babies know and they cannot translate what they mean. Do they feel hungry or are they in pain? Babies below 12 weeks old need to be handled or cuddled always before settling down but when they are more than 3 months old, they should be given a chance to comfort themselves or else they will develop the habit of crying. When the baby is crying continuously it is time to call your doctor.

Cholesterol is a waxy substance produced by our liver which is needed by the body. We can get cholesterol from the foods we eat. If your arteries are blocked by the bad cholesterol, then it will limit the flow of blood to our heart and brain thus causing a heart attack or stroke. You don’t feel sick when you have high cholesterol and before you know, your arteries are already clogged up. Treatment should be started early even if you feel fine.

Many of us thought that the Bustling city of Ho Chi Minh in the southern part of Vietnam is the country’s Heart and Soul. But many of us have also been proven wrong. While Hanoi is a little more subdued than Ho Chi Minh, there’s still plenty of interest in the Vietnamese capital for visitors. My friends went there last year and they kept on teasing me that I should have gone to Vietnam with them. They said that the city’s appearance suggests a provincial town rather than a national capital. But despite of being “province-like” their shopping experience is nothing beyond compare.

There are times when we think that seafood dishes are very common. And because they’re common, we often think that these dishes already taste bland and they’re not worthy to be eaten any more. But I know of one restaurant that offers common seafood dishes with not so common flavors. Some of their dishes are Superior Braised Eel pot, where one could taste the hints of soy sauce, XO sauce and scallions. The eel is slightly sweet, screaming its freshness from the pot; Double-boiled soups like Lobster with sticky Rice and Ox tail with Black Pepper and; Steamed Live Sea Bass Unicorn Style where the intense saltiness of the ham compliments the tart black vinegar sauce and the sweet sea bass. These dishes are really worth trying.

Because of the melamine scare outbreak last month, all imported milk, powdered and liquid alike, are recalled from all supermarkets in the Philippines . Not just the milk but as well as the goods which has milk in their ingredients like candies and chocolates. Due to this threat, the Filipinos are now buying local chocolates and candies. And I found it very helpful to the Philippine economy. I, for one, am a patron of these local candies and chocolates. Whenever I’m in the Philippines , I never miss the chance to buy a lot of these chocolates. I could say that it’s chocolateier and less sweet than that of imported chocolates.

The Philippines is really a country that easily adopts the food and the culture of their neighboring countries.. The existence of Chinese foods in the said country is a proof to that. I have tried one kind of a noodle dish that is called “Honk Kong Style Noodle” in one of the Chinese restaurants in the Philippines . And I was really amazed of the distinct taste that the noodle has. Plus the mung bean sprout that added a unique tang to the dish. It comes in different flavors such as oyster, teriyaki, sweet chili, chili garlic and for a more Filipino taste; one must try the “toyo-mansi”.
